COMPLETE WITH ITS ORIGINAL BOX. ROY CASTLE WAS ONE OF THE UK’S BIGGEST LOVED STARS OF STAGE AND SCREEN. Roy Castle OBE (31 August 1932 – 2 September 1994) was an English dancer, singer, comedian, actor, television presenter and musician. In addition to being an accomplished jazz trumpet player, he could play many other instruments. Following a versatile career as a performer on stage, television and film, he became best known to British television viewers as the long-running presenter of the children’s series Record Breakers. CASE: This is an absolutely beautiful and STUNNINGLY rare squared genuine Roy king FULLY SIGNED MONOCOQUE (1 PIECE) SOLID 925 STERLING SILVER watch case. The case is in near mint original condition. The case back is fully hallmarked for 1980 and is in excellent to minty condition. (See pics). The case sides are in minty condition with no dings. The case measures 2.8cms (28mm) in in diameter excluding the crown. DIAL: This is a wonderful, beautiful and minty textured silver sterile dial. The dial is in fantastic condition. The dial is the most beautiful design. The dial is fully signed ‘ROY KING’ in black and ‘Swiss’ to the bottom. The dial has 2 fantastic original black steel hands which look to be in excellent condition. The crystal is glass and is in minty condition. MOVEMENT: This is a wonderful clean genuine Swiss made unsigned high grade nice quality copper tone 17 jewel movement. (See photo on my watchmakers timegrapher for checking its accuracy. This fantastic movement has just been oiled and timed by my watchmaker and is in excellent working order. It is running well. I have timed it over 24 hours and keeps good time to within a few secs per day. All in all this is a beautiful movement. BAND: This beautiful ROY KING timepiece HAS A UNIQUE BESPOKE MADE SOLID STERLING SILVER BANGLE TYPE STRAP MADE IN THE FORM OF A BELT WITH A BUCKLE. IT IS UNIQUE AND WAS MADE SPECIALLY FOR ROY CASTLE. IT HAS HIS NAME IN LARGE REPOUSSE WORK LETTERS ON ONE SIDE AND THE DATE 20TH OF MAY 1980 ON THE OTHER. THERE WERE NO OTHERS MADE LIKE THIS AND IT IS TOTALLY UNIQUE TO ROY CASTLE. It s fully hallmarked and is in perfect working order. I estimate that the watch will fit up to a 7 and a ¼ inch wrist. BOX AND PROVENANCE LETTER: This beautiful watch comes in its original ROY KING red box. The box is In excellent condition showing very little wear. It has a fully signed black interior on the lid. In the box you will also find a letter of provenance written in around 2002 on The Roy castle Foundation letter head paper giving a guarantee of provenance for this beautiful watch.
