For your consideration: Selling one sexy looking original classic ultra-rare portable Minidisc, the Sony MZ-R2 (photos1-to-3) Everything about this thing is simply amazing. The unit is excellent shape and been sitting inactive for quite sometime. Until recently, this highly desirable piece of digital history has been given a well deserved TLC. Powers-on and guaranteed Not DOA. HOWEVER, on bench test, the unit does not recognize any disc unless it’s factory-made or original store purchased ones like “Bruce Springsteen” as shown in the photo. (not included in the sale) I’m too inundated with so much projects on hand and I may not be able to execute further testing. On that note, I am selling as described and “AS IS” condition for repair, parts or project and be prepared to explore and tackle the necessary challenge of figuring out proper remedy implementation to bring this formidable machine to manufacturer’s specs and operational order.
