Coffee makers come and go but coffee purists usually have a Moka espresso maker in their shelves. The latest Alessi Moka is a modern reimaging of the original Moka Express designed by Alfonso Bialetti in the 1930s which has become an icon of Italian culture. Enhanced and updated by David Chipperfield, the new Moka still features the iconic multifaceted shape with eleven sides. There’s also a flat lid to rest and heat cups on before pouring, so there’s an instant hit of aroma and flavour of your favourite blends. Also, demonstrating Alessi’s practicality, the lid may also be raised with one hand, so you may gesture with the other hand just like a true Italian.
