Large Road BIKE MOTORCYCLE CARRIER, RATED FOR 1000 LBS, 2 YR WARRANTY! All of the cheaper carriers fall apart/begin buckling as soon as they see the road shock from the highways. The reason this happens is all of the torsional stress is transmitted to the carrying tray due to using 2 horizontal stabilizer bars. Vertical stabilizer bars as used in this product, transfer the force to the receiver assembly which is very heavy steel and designed to withstand these forces. The highways are typically very rough(particularly if hauling with a motorhome) when you carry a motorcycle more than 400 lbs out there. Don’t be caught with a carrier that falls apart on you! Our carriers are rated for 7000 miles or 2 years with the best warranty in the industry!US designed and built, Heavy duty motorcycle rack/hitch carrier. This model was designed specifically for a Honda GL1800(and older models) to a GMC Yukon, Denali, Suburban or 3/4 ton pickup trucks and has been built since 2005. It is the Sturdiest, most over-designed CYCLE RACK AVAILABLE! Side Supports are used so the main carrying tray is supported in 3 places. This is necessary to keep the carrying tray from bending during usage. The less expensive motorcycle carriers DO NOT HAVE THIS FEATURE and the tray bends downward after a short trip!THIS CARRIER HAS ADJUSTMENT TO KEEP THE MOTORCYCLE CLOSE TO BACK OF VEHICLE. Don’t overload your hauling vehicle by being limited to the manufacturers excess stickout! Place the bike 2″ off the back of the hauling vehicle.Motorcycle Carrier/ hitch rack, Class 3 or 4 hitch required( 2″ square receiver)for up to 1000 lb capacity(quite often the hauling vehicle may be the limiting factor) This rack is for the larger and heavier motorcycles up to 89″ long wheel end to end). The tires shouldn’t be wider than 200 mm or 8.75″ to fit inside the tray.THIS CARRIER CANNOT BE USED ON 5TH WHEEL OR TRAVEL TRAILER TYPE VEHICLES, THEY ARE RATED FOR 100-200 LBS TONGUE WEIGHT!! THESE HITCH RACKS ARE THE ONLY CYCLE CARRIERS IN THIS CLASS WHERE THE DEVICE Deploys (2) vertical stabilizer bars to provide isolation from the vehicle and control the sway of the larger motorcycles for closer positioning to the vehicle plus improved ground clearance. Most of the competitors have NO ADJUSTMENT ON THE CARRYING TRAY and the motorcycles sticking out there 5-13″ more that is necessary and this tends to overload the vehicle! The motorcycle should be positioned as close as possible to the vehicle but never touch it for the best “drive-ability” possible. The steel tray accommodates a few different types of motorcycles of different length for a near perfect balance of the carrier on the suv, van or truck!! The carrier is modular in design and is interchangeable for optimizing the set-up and for later upgrades/changes to the tray size and receiver bracket for adaptability on other vehicles.(in case you change hauling vehicle or cycle). This carrier COMES WITH A FULL, TWO YEAR WARRANTY! Other accessories can be readily added later as you get experience with the carrier i.e. bolt on or magnetic lights and other stabilizer bars to simplify the tie down process. The dimension on the carrier shown here in all of the photos are: 20 and 24″ (you have your choice of either dimension on the carrier) from hitch pin to center of cycle tray. It is fully adjustable by moving the tray on the receiver assembly to the other bolt pattern available.
