Personal Notes: ThinkPad is is good to very good condition with minimal wear showing on trackpad and keys and typical very slight scuffs on body. The screen has no apparent dead pixels and very slight key marks that do not normally show (you probably would not notice, if I hadn’t mentioned it,) and may be cleanable. This AMD CPU is 38.8% faster than the fastest Intel CPU you could get in a T14 the year this was made (11/2021 but sold & warranty started 05/2022). See image showing benchmarks from Passmark Software CPU Mark score derived from user submissions using their software downloaded and displayed at cpubenchmark.net. There is a Lenovo transferable warranty (no paperwork required, unlike Dell) until 03/22/2025 with on-site service. They will come to your place even if you are in the middle of nowhere (it happened to me on a different system). This is 130 days from today (11/12/2024). Everything works as it should on this laptop so I have not used this warranty on it but it is a comfort to have. The battery shows 100% (see image from Windows battery report. From command prompt: “powercfg /batteryreport” to write a web page showing battery details. I never used the battery much but it showed 92% 8+ hours remaining after I left it unplugged a bit, today. I used this ThinkPad for about 3 months on a docking station (Lenovo 40AJ dock) for reading 5 attached 8TB hard drives, working with the data on the drives. The ThinkPad and dock never missed a beat and both were very stable. This dock is connected via dual-USB-C on the left side (plop it on there, slide a lever/switch), provides 2 more USB-C ports on the back as well as 4x USB 3.x (USB-A) ports so you can connect at least 6 USB devices, simultaneously. It also has HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA connectors. With external hard drives attached, I can transfer at about 120MB / sec. With a fast external USB-C SSD connected, I can transfer data back and forth about 585 MB / sec. The speed of transfer whether external SSD is connected to laptop or dock with laptop on it is the same. Some docks for other systems slow down data that pass through them, this does not. IF You Use The Buy It Now option, the dock I just described will be included with its genuine Lenovo 135W power supply, I have not posted pictures of this dock but plan to in the next couple of days (search for Lenovo 40AJ to learn more about this dock). Final notes: A genuine Lenovo USB-C 65W power supply is included with this system but not yet pictured (these are the fastest phone chargers I have, also!). I can leave the VMware Workstation Pro software and the 4 Virtual Machines (VMs) that I/we created for a friend’s training (so far our training was just how to make VMs and we made those in one session. They all boot up but we didn’t do much with any except some on Windows 10 that I will wipe. Android, Raspian (Raspberry PI OS), Linux (elementary OS), and Windows 10. If you want to keep these userID & passwords will be provided. This is no real data on each VM, we just installed each to learn. Example use case. You downloaded software, not sure if it may interfere with your system, install it on Windows 10 VM, first. If that VM gets messed up, you can revert to a saved “snapshot” to put it back the way it was without uninstalling troublesome software. You can run 5 PCs at once: With 48GB of RAM, you can allocate each of 4 machines 4-8 GB of RAM if you want and still have plenty to run the Windows 11 on the ThinkPad. These machines can connect to each other on their own private network or over the Wi-Fi in your home that they are connected to. Is there anything you wish you had a couple more PCs for so they could each run their own apps?OR I can reinstall Windows if you want a clean machine or You can, anytime (reset this PC – Choose “don’t keep files” – Tap Windows Key to search, type in without quotes “reset this PC”) and your PC Everything (except a fresh Windows 11 Pro) will be gone.
