Camco XLT High Flow Roof Vent Cover, Opens for Easy Cleaning Aerodynamic Design, Easily Mounts to RV with Included Hardware-Black (40456) Oversized vent cover and angled louvers allows more air flow than standard vent covers Works great with fan powered vents and fits most style mounting brackets Mounting hardware included; Mounts to existing 14” x 14” roof vents Measures 19. 5” W x 25. 75” D x 10. 5″ H; Durable, UV-resistant material Pivoting grate opens for full access to the interior of the vent, making cleaning easier XLT Roof Vent Cover for RV This new, streamlined Vent Cover XLT features an aerodynamic design and a durable construction. The oversized vent cover is UV resistant with angled louvers that allow for more air flow than standard vent covers. It also allows more room to open and close your RV vent lid, allowing you to have better air flow rain or shine. Works great with fan powered vents. Camco Vent Cover XLT has a pivoting grate which allows for easy access to the inside of the cover, making it easy to clean. Fits most mounting brackets. Comes in white and black, patent pending. How it Works The Camco XLT Roof Vent Cover installs over your RV roof vent, allowing you to open your roof vent during rain or shine and without impeding air flow. The removable grate allows you easy access to your roof vent for maintenance and cleaning. For installation you will need a pencil, a drill with a 3/16 inch bit, a Phillips head screw driver and a crescent wrench. The rest of the materials are included with the product. To install the XLT Cover, first center it over your roof vent with the louvers facing the rear of the RV and mark the location of the slots with your pencil. Lay the mounting bracket on the roof so that the slot intersects one of the marked locations that are closest to the corners of the vent frame. Mark the locations of the screw hole in the vent bracket onto the vent frame and drill through the frame using the 3/16 inch diameter drill bit. Place one of the carriage bolts up through the bracket slot and fasten the bracket to the roof vent and frame using a #8 screw, washer, lock washer and nut which are provided for you. The washers and nuts will go on the inside of the vent frame. Install the other three brackets in the same way. Once all four of your brackets are installed, place the XLT vent cover over the four carriage bolts and attached with the ¼ inch washers, lock washers and nuts. Before you tighten it, make sure the square heads of the carriage bolts are seated in the bracket slots to prevent them from turning. Do not over tighten. There will be a gap between the vent and your RVs roof- this is normal and will help prevent condensation. Your XLT Roof Vent Cover is now installed and ready for use!
