Description ​ Rare French 8 day portico skeleton clock under a glass display case The clock is fixed to a wooden solid ebonised base by the 2 pillars which holds the movement The glass case is in great undamaged condition ​​Original marble chapter ring dial with Roman numerals & original hands The dial is open faced and is in great original condition with minimal age marks, to the centre you see the visible escapement​ Original French 8 day bell striking movement with a anchor escapement and comes with its original compensated pendulum The movement is stamped with the french maker Samuel Marti Movement is in full working order keeping time as can be seen in the video above​​ The clock under the glass case measures 13.5 inches high x 10 inches wide x 7 inches deep Antique French 8 Day Striking Portico Skeleton Mantle Clock Under Glass Case Description Main reasons why you should purchase your antique clock from Times & Chimes Ltd !!! Unfortunately with some clocks it is not a matter of unpacking them, putting the pendulum on and away they go, some clocks will need the extra adjustments and setting into beat so please remember you may require a professional for initial setup before bidding. Any clocks returned because of setting up issues or adjustments needed after transit then a fee will be applicable. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repair I offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description) In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repair Please do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myself Shipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repair All repair costs will be met by myself for 6 months after purchase.
