Standing tall at 68 inches, it commands attention with its exquisite design and timeless appeal, making it a perfect addition to any Craftsman, Art Nouveau, or Tudor-style home. A superb original and highly decorative English Art Nouveau Standard Oil Lamp with original hand decorated shade and font with frosted glass chimney. Magnificent brass work around the shade holder and on the the base. Featuring brass corner post supporting the walnut stained wood table top and with hairy paw feet at the base footing, 15″ square from paw to paw. This lamp has been professionally polished and lacquered and is also telescopic, although I have never figured how to keep it in the higher position, nor cared to raise it higher than the 68″ height presently shown. The oil lamp has an early P & A / Plume Atwood Burner, marked accordingly working to provide a nice Victorian ambiance of the bygone days. The 4-sided design allows for versatility in placement, ensuring that all sides of the lamp can be appreciated. This Antique Lamp is a testament to the enduring beauty of well-preserved antiques. Its authentic un-converted / virgin oil lamp tells a story of generations of care, making it a cherished piece for any discerning collector. Very nice coloration. Patina consistent with age.
